Bernardi’s to launch Summer Sundays in July

Marylebone restaurant Bernardi’s has announced the launch of Summer Sundays, a celebration of longer days and balmy nights, running weekly from July through to September.

Launching officially on 9 July with an all-day celebration, the first of the Summer Sundays will welcome a guest DJ to host a day of chilled out tracks, cocktails and food.

Each week will see Head Chef Sabrina Gidda serve her new weekend menu bringing together twists on classic brunch dishes of Gnocchi alla Romana, poached eggs & smoked salmon and Scrambled eggs, Cornish crab & parsley as well as her take on an Italian Sunday Lunch of Grilled rack of lamb served with peach and burrata salads, Sicilian caponata an pine nuts. The perfect accompaniment to a lazy day with friends and family.

The launch coincides with a redesign of the ground floor restaurant and bar, allowing guests lounge-style seating, intimate tables and a new banquette area opening out via floor-to-ceiling windows to the restaurant’s wrap around al fresco terrace. The redesign will create the perfect relaxed setting for the all-day dining and drinking that Bernardi’s is known for.

Come nightfall guests can move downstairs to The Dog House, Bernardi’s basement cocktail bar, continuing through to the evening with seasonal gin and tonics including ‘Due’ with Sipsmith dry gin & Indian tonic water, orange & pink pepper; and ‘Cinque’ with Gin Mare, Mediterranean Tonic water, samphire & thyme, as well as a dedicated list of Negronis, Italian craft beers and selection of Italian wines. Guests will also enjoy a programme of guest DJs and a cicchetti menu will be served until late.
