New Italian restaurant to open in Marylebone

Bernardi’s is a new 170-cover restaurant and bar that will open on 14 September in Marylebone, London.

Situated on a prominent corner site of Seymour Place and Seymour Street, the venue occupies a glorious restored Victorian corner-site building, set over two levels.

Bernardi’s will offer everything from a morning coffee or breakfast through to lunch, dinner and evening cocktails. The menu will feature simple, modern Italian food served all day, every day.

Bernardi’s is a concept by brothers Gabriel and Marcello Bernardi, who hail from Melbourne and have been a part of the London hospitality scene for over 10 years, playing a key role in the establishment and success of the highly regarded Cubitt House group.

They bring with them an antipodean approach to Italian cooking, one that’s traditional at heart, but is born from the youthfulness and creativity of Italian cooking, which can be found in cities like Melbourne.

The dual aspect ground floor will feature a casual Italian menu alongside classic
Italian cocktails, fine wines, Proseccos and beers.

There will be an impressive dining bar with seating for 20 guests, table seating for 100 guests and outdoor dining during warmer months. The ground floor showcases a working chicheti kitchen and forno for porchetta roasts, pizzete and piadini.

The lower ground floor offers seating for 60 guests in a relaxed but sophisticated living room styled interior. This space will become a cool new destination within The Portman Village for evening cocktails, chichetti, sharing plates and evening suppers.
