Bernardi’s to launch new basement cocktail bar

London-based Bernardi’s has announced it will launch The Dog House, a new basement cocktail bar situated underneath the highly-acclaimed Marylebone restaurant, on 10 June.

Accessed either via the restaurant or a separate entrance on Seymour Place, the space will feature banquette seating around the walls, and a number of smaller, more intimate tables, as well as stools at the bar. There is also a hidden snug, seating up to 8 people, which is perfect for a small get together, and a small outdoor courtyard.

The bar will serve up both classic and more modern Italian cocktails, such as the ‘Lotta in Salita’, comprising The Collector vermouth, Carpano classic, Bulleit bourbon, and Evangelista Ratifia; or the ‘Amante’: Stellacello, Villa Zarri brandy, and fresh grapefruit. There will also be a dedicated Negroni section, a wide selection of vermouths, and specialty Italian beers.

A bar menu will feature Cicheti, Pizzette, and antipasti to accompany the drinks list.

Customers at Bernardi’s are now able to make the most of the warmer weather and the longer, lighter evenings by enjoying their breakfast, lunch or dinner outside on the terrace.

Head Chef Sabrina Gidda has created a selection of seasonal dishes which can be enjoyed both on the terrace and inside, including dishes such as Roasted pepper, black olive & anchovy crostini, Tagliolini, wild garlic, burrata & datterini and Cornish crab risotto, bisque butter & samphire.
