Where The Pancakes Are to open at Battersea Power Station next month

Where The Pancakes Are, London’s much-loved destination for pancakes day and night, is opening inside the Grade II-listed Battersea Power Station this October.

Tucked between the newly-restored, iconic turbine halls, WTPA Battersea has been designed by Creed Design and award-winning Dutch architects Overtreders W, who have employed sustainable principles in the design of the restaurant, utilising recycled and upcycled materials and producing minimal waste.

Chefs in the open kitchen will lovingly prepare pancakes morning, noon and night, serving savoury and sweet dishes.

All-day diners can savour plates such as pulled beef pastrami pancakes with cheddar and sauerkraut with kale slaw and homemade pickles; the cheddar and goats cheese Dutch baby with roast thyme and rosemary; and the nutritious Recovery pancakes with banana, almond butter, almond-apricot granola and maple syrup.

Evening eaters can nibble on the likes of Korean miso and scallion pancake with kimchi and soy dipping sauce; or a sharing board of crudites, gordal olives, seeded buckwheat crisps, chive labneh and pickles.

A concise selection of sprightly cocktails, craft beers and organic wines are bound to make diners see pancake dinners in a completely new way.

Founder Patricia Trijbits said, 'It’s an honour to open our third restaurant within one of the most recognisable buildings in Europe. It will really be a joy to see diners eating our daytime and evening dishes in such an awe-inspiring space.

“We have lots of fun things planned for Battersea - from book clubs to outdoor yoga followed by nourishing pancakes - so keep your eyes peeled!”

Where The Pancakes Are opens at Battersea Power Station at 11am on the 14 October, and thereafter will be open from 8am to 10pm daily.
