Seven Bro7hers doubles expansion crowdfunding target

Seven Bro7hers is planning to expand the brewery and open four more beer houses by 2022, including sites in Liverpool and Leeds.

The Manchester-based brewer has exceeded its crowdfunding target by over £200k, with more than £430k raised for the expansion.

The company has to pause plans to open its Liverpool bar when the UK entered lockdown in March, and it will now be opening this autumn.

The fund will open a bar in Leeds next year and will support the opening of two more beer houses by 2022.

CEO Keith McAvoy said, “We’ve built a business on core values around simplicity, transparency, locality and family – now we have extended our family even further with 1,000 new investors.'

The firm reopened its Middlewood Locks and Ancoats beer houses and newly refurbished Salford taproom at the beginning of the month operating under social distancing restrictions.

McAvoy added, “We are excited to have come out of lockdown, seeing our beer houses reopen and web shop thrive. This month we celebrate six years of SEVEN BRO7HERS, we are grateful to everyone who has supported our business and invested, we promise to make you proud of your investment.”
