New owner sought for popular French restaurant in affluent Richmond-Upon-Thames

Chez Lindsay, an established French restaurant located on the banks of the River Thames, in Richmond, has come to market via Christie & Co.

Specialising in French cuisine from the Brittany region, the popular waterside restaurant has been under the same ownership for the past 34 years and has come to market as the current owner looks to retire.

The restaurant is available on a leasehold basis, with 10 years remaining on the lease, for offers over £150k and an annual rent of £41k.

David Wilson, Associate Director in Christie & Co’s Pubs & Restaurants team is handling the sale and commented, “This is a fantastic opportunity to take over the lease of a well-known French restaurant in the centre of affluent Richmond-Upon-Thames.

'The restaurant boasts views of the river and maintains strong trade levels, due to its ideal position next to Richmond bridge and the areas many tourist destinations such as Richmond Park, Twickenham Rugby Stadium and Kew Gardens.

“There is an experienced team of chefs and wait staff in place to assist with the transition of new ownership for this profitable and sustainable business, and we look forward to hearing from interested parties.”
