Paulo de Tarso joins LSL Capital as head of hospitality

Paulo De Tarso has taken on the role of Head of Hospitality at the restaurant group behind Michelin-starred Jamavar.

LSL Capital, founded by Dinesh and Samyukta Nair, operates a portfolio of restaurants in Mayfair, including Bombay Bustle, MiMi Mei Fair, Koyn, and Socca, the latter of which they launched in partnership with chef Claude Bosi earlier this year.

Paulo De Tarso will begin his role at Koyn, the izakaya-style Japanese restaurant on Grosvenor Street, before expanding his responsibilities to encompass the wider restaurant portfolio.

De Tarso brings a wealth of experience to the position, having spent three years at Scotts Mayfair and played a key role in opening Bar Boulud with renowned chef Daniel Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. In 2016, he launched the Margot restaurant in Covent Garden but later stepped away from the project in 2020.

Samyukta said: 'I've seen Paulo's work over the years and am delighted for him to join LSL Capital. His dedication to the industry and passion for hospitality is incredible, and I'm excited to work together and build a community we are going to be proud of.'

De Tarso said: 'LSL Capital is a fantastic business and embodies much of my own ethos when it comes to hospitality.

'The restaurants are conceptual and offer guests a unique experience, which is something I hope to build on through joining Samyukta and her team.'
