Richmond Hill Hotel has taken home gold after winning a coveted prize at this year’s Beautiful South Awards.
The luxury Georgian hotel was shortlisted alongside several other hotels across the South East, in the ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ category, and took home first prize.
The Beautiful South Awards returned to live celebrations as it hosted the annual awards ceremony at its title sponsor, The Grand Brighton hotel this week.
The four-star getaway, located minutes from Richmond Park, achieved gold whilst Oakley Hall Hotel scooped the silver award for large hotel of the year.
More than 200 tourism and hospitality businesses attended the event with 53 awards handed out and a further 13 commendations.
General Manager Diane Tapner-Evans and Liva Jones, HR Manager (pictured centre), took to the stage to receive the award on behalf of the team at Richmond Hill Hotel.
The judges at Beautiful South Awards were impressed by staff and the service, saying: 'Richmond Hill hotel is a joy to visit, emotionally intelligent and where staff appear genuinely happy to be of service. The hotel has successfully attained the balance of providing outstanding service and making the guest feel special and individually cared for.”
