Red Oak Taverns completes first pub acquisition of 2022


Red Oak Taverns has made its first pub acquisition of 2022, The Vine in Worthing bringing its mainly leased and tenanted pub estate to 206.

Once an old Sussex brewery, this historic pub is renowned for its quality home-cooked food and a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. This charming local offers a spacious bar, separate dining room and a beautiful garden, complete with a children’s play area.

Co-founder and Chief Executive of Red Oak, Mark Grunnell said, “Following the five portfolio acquisitions we completed in 2021, we are delighted to start our 2022 programme with the Vine pub. We are looking forward to welcoming the tenant partner of The Vine to the Red Oak business.

“We continue to focus on growing our pub estate through single and multiple pub package acquisitions to develop our pub business further”.

Founded in 2011 by Grunnell and Aaron Brown, Red Oak Taverns is privately-owned by its co-founders and a small number of like-minded individual investors.

The pub estate is mainly concentrated in the South, South West, North West and the Midlands.
