Sainsbury’s opens new Local store in Bristol development


Sainsbury’s has unveiled its new Avon Street Local store within the Box Makers Yard development in Bristol.

Situated beneath the brand-new apartment block, the store will offer a convenient place for nearby residents to pick up their shopping and will be open from 7am-11pm, seven days a week.

The new Sainsbury’s Local, which measures 2,714 sq. ft. in size, will feature both own-brand and branded high quality, great value products including fresh food, fruit and veg, groceries and household staples.

The store also has a Costa coffee machine and fresh bakery where customers can pick up bread and pastries to-go.

Customers will have the option to use Mobile Pay or SmartShop, Sainsbury’s scan, pay and go technology. This enables them to pay using their smartphone, avoid waiting at the till and checkout more easily and conveniently. T

he new store will also provide an Argos Click and Collect point within the first two months of opening, allowing customers to order Argos products online before collecting instore whenever it suits them.
