This December, Hotbox Spitalfields will welcome a multi award-winning bar from Athens, The Clumsies for an exclusive two-day residency.
Ranked 3rd place in ‘The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2020’ and recent winner of ‘Best International High-Volume Cocktail Bar’ at the Tales of the Cocktail awards, The Clumsies will be popping up at HotBox Spitalfields’ bar space, on Wednesday, 8th and Thursday, 9th December.
The perfectly imperfect The Clumsies has gained an international reputation for its innovative cocktails and warm Athenian hospitality.
Founded by award-winning bartenders Vassilis Kyritsis and Nikos Bakoulis (the eponymous ‘clumsies’), The Clumsies’ ethos is based on the belief that bartenders are not only judged by the impeccable execution of a recipe, but also by the way they connect with the customer.
The Clumsies will be bringing their expertise next month to the heart of Shoreditch, mixing away at modern smokehouse, Hotbox.
Guests will be able to sample a selection of their delicious serves, including the X-tasis, a sweet and sour mix of Buttered Aged Rum, Passion, Pineapple, Fermented Milky Oolong Tea; as well as Intimacy which features Tequila Blanco 100%, The Lost Explorer Mezcal, Beetroot Kvass, Pandan, Turmeric, London Essence Rosemary and Grapefruit Tonic.
For the negroni lovers, the team have created Eden Garden, a concoction London Dry Gin, Sandalwood Campari, Manchino Sakura Vermouth, Eden Flower.
Completing the menu will be But First Coffee, a dry serve featuring Vodka, Coffee, Jasmine Mead and Mango Vermouth. Bespoke to Hotbox Spitalfields will be the Out of the Hotbox, an exclusive fizzy serve which features London Dry Gin, Otto’s Athens Vermouth, Peach Vermouth, bubbles.
