JD Wetherspoon surges ahead with northern revamps

JD Wetherspoon has awarded three new projects to Oldham-based construction company, Medlock.

The nation’s favourite all-day, every-day pub group is committed to a strategy of long-term investment and job creation in its estate of over 900 pubs and hotels.

The Cooper Rose in Sunderland (pictured) is having an internal upgrade with the addition of a sparkling new roof garden and terrace.

The other two projects are both new acquisitions which will be converted into the bespoke Wetherspoon offer.

In the Beighton area of Sheffield, a 25-year-old branded ‘Diner’ will be completely re-positioned, whilst in South Birmingham, the Navigation Inn is a 19th century heritage asset in the Kings Norton conservation area.

All the projects will run concurrently with handovers in October.
