Great Scotland Yard hotel unveils new afternoon tea with Floris London

This month, Great Scotland Yard hotel will unveil their new Afternoon Tea menu Bouquet de La Reine in collaboration with Floris London, the only appointed perfumer to Her Majesty The Queen.

The experience is designed to guide guests on a journey through history, nobility and perfumery with a multi sensory afternoon tea experience. Served in The Parlour, a beautifully decorated space housed within the walls of the site where some of the greatest crimes in history were investigated.

Much like Floris’s meticulously crafted perfumes, the elegant tea offering boasts timeless charm. The menu is inspired by flavour notes of the prestigious Bouquet de La Reine fragrance with traditional patisserie through an assortment of seasonal pastries and cakes such as rose and pistachio drizzle cake; blackcurrant, yoghurt and frangipane gateaux and delicate violet leaf madeleines.

Strawberry and jasmine tartlets will deliver an experience of ultimate royal delight alongside quintessentially British freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and strawberry elderflower jam.

Savouries will include a selection of decadent sandwiches including cheddar, gougere and Exmoor Caviar; classic chicken breast with tarragon mayonnaise, and fluffy crab, lime and chilli crème fraîche milk buns.

To drink, there will be Ruinart Champagne alongside a selection of delicate teas from the Rare Tea Company.

Edward Bodenham, Director of Floris, said, 'We are thrilled to have collaborated with Great Scotland Yard. The afternoon tea offering encapsulates the ethos of Floris perfectly whilst retaining the character of the hotel and it’s colourful history.’

General Manager, Sholto Smith said, ‘We are so delighted to be welcoming guests back to The Parlour for afternoon tea and there is no one better to celebrate this staple of British culture with than one of the country's most loved perfumers.’

The Afternoon Tea will be served from The Parlour from Thursday 10 June, with prices starting from £50 a head and running throughout the summer.
