Two Tribes Brewery to launch open air cooking concept in April

This April, Two Tribes Brewery will unveil Campfire, an all-new venue at their home in London’s Kings Cross.

Created to showcase open air cooking delivered by renowned live fire chefs alongside a selection of the UK’s top musical talent, Campfire’s opening season feature exclusive brews fresh from the Two Tribes brewery alongside an initial residency by cult popup sensation From The Ashes BBQ.

Launching on Wednesday 14 April, Campfire is set to be one of London’s most vibrant new venues, a live fire cooking and entertainment space which combines the leading lights of both the music and restaurant communities through an engaging events programme designed by DJ Leo Zero and Two Tribes founder Justin Deighton.

Housed adjacent to the Two Tribes brewery headquarters with two custom built shipping containers and outdoor seating, Campfire will feature a taproom experience unlike any other, centred around an impressive open-fire kitchen for resident chefs which will also act as a backdrop for visiting musicians.

Once open, Campfire will host a regularly rotating roster of top UK and international chefs, each of whom will be invited to be residents at the venue. Campfire’s initial residency will be held by From The Ashes BBQ, a trio of chefs who came together in the midst of lockdown to create one of London’s hottest new BBQ restaurants.

Working with top farmers from up and down the country, the team of Frank Fellows, Martin Anderson and Curtis Bell will pair their dishes created on the holy trinity of smoke, fat and flavour with a selection of beers fresh from the Two Tribes brewery.

Dishes available as part of their initial residency include the From the Ashes Nduja 'Del Piero’ Doughnuts filled with smoked pork, house made chilli jam, BBQ sauce & Nduja; Slow smoked ribs braised in Two Tribes pale ale house BBQ sauce; Vegan corn ribs with beer salt and chilli butter and sides of crispy beef fat potatoes, BBQ beans and burnt ends.

To finish, the team have brought back their popular Fire pit ‘chocolate’ profiteroles covered with a chocolate beer sauce made with Two Tribes Symphony cocoa & sea salt stout.

Campfire will also host takeovers from well-known chefs who are closely connected to Two Tribes. The series will kick off with The Frog’s Adam Handling taking over the space on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 April to serve a one-off live fire menu.

Further editions will see the likes of Andrew Clarke, Ramael Scully, Chris Leach and Genevive Taylor from Bristol Fire School taking to the stoves. Part community hub, part entertainment space, Campfire will bring together quality food, excellent entertainment from some of the most exciting names in the thriving entertainment community – many of whom are resident at the recording studios and record labels located nearby.

Music at Campfire will be programmed by Peter Herbert a former resident DJ of the mythical Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza and the legendary venue in Southeast Asia Potato Head Beach Club. Peter has secured the talents of top DJs and record labels to host exclusive and intimate performances which will start in summer. Campfire will also host a special series of album previews, secret concerts and live streamed events – of which exclusive tickets will be initially available to those that follow Campfire through their social media channels.

Campfire has been built thanks to the vision of Two Tribes founder Justin Deighton. Starting from humble beginnings, Justin and his team have carefully built a loyal following for the brewery over the past four years. To bring Campfire to life, Justin has employed the talents of industry experts Julian Brown and Peter Herbert to help oversee the chef and entertainment lineups respectively.

Founder Justin Deighton said, “I’m thrilled to see Campfire ignited this April, this project which has been many months in the planning is the perfect culmination of our vision for Two Tribes which brings together incredible food, great beer and talented entertainers right in our backyard.

'I’m delighted to have the From The Ashes team lead our residency programme and am looking forward to building our line up throughout 2021 and celebrating this with beer, music and food fans from all across London.”
