Iconic Canadian QSR brand, Tim Hortons has today announced its latest plans to open a drive-thru restaurant in Milton Keynes, this December. The opening will mark its first site in ‘the south’- with many more planned to open in the next 12 months.

The 2700 sq ft site will offer a drive-thru service as well as space for 74 covers inside the premises. The opening will also create over 40 full and part time jobs for the Milton Keynes community.

Following successful regional launches in Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester and the Midlands, the opening is part of the brand’s ongoing strategy to bring Tim Hortons to every major city and town over the next few years; a process which will create over 2,000 job opportunities across the UK.

Tim Hortons' is famous for its consistent quality and great value products; particularly its signature brewed coffee, famed donut ranges and its Big Breakfast Wrap and Tims™ Crispy Chicken Sandwich.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons UK & Ireland, said of the launch, “The arrival of our Tim Hortons brand in the south of England has been a key part of the business growth plan and we are excited to continue the journey with our opening in Milton Keynes.

'The city is well-established with an abundance of eating and drinking venues and we are confident our values of consistently high quality and everyday value will resonate with locals in the same way it has since the brand’s inception in 1964.'

He continued, “Despite challenging times for the hospitality sector, our drive-thru businesses have performed exceptionally well and our model is proving to be well attuned to the evolving needs of customers at this time.

'Our launch into Milton Keynes is just the start of our planned expansion throughout the UK, with many more exciting openings in the pipeline for 2021”.

As a key part of its on-going growth strategy, Tim Hortons is seeking further sites across the UK & Ireland suitable for drive-thru restaurants.
