Award-winning recipe box provider, Gousto plans to double its workforce to over 2,000 to meet the huge increase in demand during this pandemic. It delivered 5m meals in June, up from 2.5m in January 2020.
Created 8 years ago and led by chief executive Timo Boldt, Gousto provides pre-packaged meal kits for over 50 recipes,
Revenues for the six months to the end of June reached the £83m of full-year sales reported in 2019.
The business is seeking to open new manufacturing and delivery centres. A second automated plant will open before the end of the year, with plans for two other centres in the pipeline.
Gousto also has a deal to sell food recipes from fitness guru Joe Wicks, who is an investor in the company.
