Pret A Manger trials click & collect service through Deliveroo

Pret A Manger is trialling a click and collect service for the first time, introducing new ways to bring Pret’s freshly made food to customers as the country eases from the lockdown.

From today, the company will begin a click and collect trial in five London shops - Aldgate, Hammersmith, Kingston, Putney, Stratford - available exclusively through Deliveroo.

Customers will be able to order and pay remotely through the Deliveroo app, and on arrival will skip the queue to head to a designated point within the shop to collect their order.

Pret is currently testing different points in shops for pick up, including a ‘hatch’ system which means customers won’t need to enter the shop.

After the initial trial, Pret aims to extend the click and collect service to more shops over the coming months.

Alex Chisholm, Digital Transformation Director at Pret said, 'As more of our customers change their daily routines, we’ve been looking at how Pret can meet their needs.

'Click and collect is a great way of offering a fast, contact-free service for our freshly made food and we look forward to making it available to more customers in the coming months.'

As part of wider efforts to adapt to the new operating environment, the company is also exploring new recipes for evening delivery for trial in a limited number of shops next month.
