JJ Foodservice sets sights on expansion

National wholesaler JJ Foodservice is on the hunt to acquire more properties to support expansion plans.

Following record sales of £170m for the first three quarters of the current financial year, up 14% on the same period the previous year, the wholesaler is gearing up to bring quality products, a slick ordering process and a state-of-the-art delivery operation to more caterers across the UK.

Group General Manager, Terry Larkin said, “We’re ready to grow – but our biggest challenge is finding suitable freehold sites. We are urging anyone with a warehouse between 20,000sqft and 50,000sqft in West London to get in touch.”

JJ Foodservice currently has eleven UK branches in Enfield, Sidcup, Basingstoke, Dagenham, Birmingham, Bristol, Doncaster, Leicester, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle.

The business is also looking at sites outside of London, particularly after a successful Women in Fish and Chips conference in Birmingham last week, where 86% of delegates surveyed said they would like a local JJ branch to serve their area.
