Tevin Tobun, CEO and Founder of GV Group has joined Meghan Markle, Stormzy, Raheem Sterling and other household names on a list of the top 100 most influential black Britons in the UK.
The ‘Powerlist’, an annual publication first published in 2007 in a bid to provide professional role models for young people of African and African Caribbean heritage, has become one of the UK’s most prestigious networks – bringing together leading figures from the business, political, sports and entertainment worlds.
The publication is sent out primarily to schools, universities and corporations looking to inspire and engage young black people in Britain.
This is the second successive year that Tobun, who founded his GV Group business in 2001, has made the list. GV Group is the holding company behind a number of brands offering logistics services to the foodservice sector, employing more than 300 people across the UK.
The company works across the commercial and public sectors to deliver food and food-related based supplies to restaurants, cafes, hotel groups, as well as schools and healthcare establishments.
Tobun works closely with colleges and universities to support the development of young people. In 2015 he set up the GV scholarship which offers university funding to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
