Lina Stores reveals launch date for new King’s Cross site


The team behind Lina Stores has revealed the opening date for its new King’s Cross site, marking 75 years since the Italian delicatessen first opened in Soho.

Launching on 15 November, the 100-cover deli-restaurant will be stocked with the very best Italian pantry essentials. Salumi, cheeses, antipasti and fresh pasta will all be available to eat in or take away.

Diners and shoppers can watch as fresh pasta is made by hand while enjoying an espresso, freshly made-to-order sandwich, or an after-work aperitivo.

The simple and traditional menu will focus on fresh pasta and include signature dishes from Brewer and Greek street alongside exciting new dishes.

For antipasti, there will be the lamb prosciutto or Capra al Fieno, a hay wrapped goat’s cheese matured for 8 months. Pasta will take centre stage with new dishes such as Crab, Scallop and Prawn Rondini and Pappardelle, Ox Tail Ragu and Provolone Piccante.

A pared back selection of secondi will include whole roasted Branzino with lemon, capers and olive dressing and overnight beef cheeks in Barolo, ceps and polenta.

For desserts there will be Rum baba, Cassata, Crostata di Frutta, Tiramisù, Cannoli, Polenta and Orange Cake. as well as homemade gelato and sorbetto.

The wine list will boast organic and biodynamic bottles in addition to skin contact/orange wines and sparkling from Emilia Romagna to include Lambrusco and Franciacorta.

The aperitivo bar will offer Italian vermouths, amaro and classic house made cocktails alongside reinvented classics such as the Crodino Spritz and Sognando il Mediterraneo; Gin, Cocchi Rosa, Nocellara Olive and Rosemary Tonic.
