Black Swan Oldstead gets top TripAdvisor ratings

Chef Tommy Bank's The Black Swan, Oldstead, on the edge of the North York Moors, has just received top ratings from the TripAdvisor awards.

The Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms, that comes with a 2-acre kitchen garden, has ranked 2nd in the UK, 9th in Europe and 14th in the World in this year’s TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

The Travellers’ Choice Awards for Restaurants honour travellers' favourite dining establishments worldwide. Based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews, these restaurants were consistently given high ratings and praise by diners across the globe. Award winners were determined by factoring in the quantity and quality of reviews, gathered over a 12-month period.

The awards are based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews and award-winning restaurants are considered the best-in-class by diners across the globe.

Bkanks said, “Having been named number one in the Travellers’ Choice Favourite Fine Dining Restaurants in the World 2017 it is really pleasing that we continue to feature high up on the list. After all, it takes into account the reviews of people who have eaten in your restaurant and if they are happy then we are happy too!”

Banks also picked up the Local Heroes Award in last week’s Observer Food Monthly Awards.
