Costa Express, the UK’s leading innovator in barista quality, machine crafted coffee, will give away free coffee from its 8,500+ locations across the UK on Tuesday 1 October, to challenge the stereotypes of machine made coffee, and launch a self-serve revolution.
Available at over 8,500 participating Costa Express machines nationwide, coffee-enthusiasts will be able to serve themselves a perfect barista quality, machine crafted cup of their favourite drink, all day long.
They can choose from classics including Americano, Latte, Espresso or Cappuccino. Hot chocolate and syrups are also on the menu so consumers can personalise their drinks to their tastes.
Managing Director, Scott Martin at Costa Express said, “The coffee industry is booming with no sign of our love affair with the drink slowing, as it’s estimated 95 million cups are consumed a day*. However, for years, self-serve machines have carried a certain stigma. Freeze-dried coffee, long life milk, clumpy soups and bland hot chocolate were readily stocked in machines across the late nineties and early noughties, so we can imagine how one poor experience is enough to put someone off for life!
