Ex-Innocent Drinks & Honest Burgers execs join Rare Restaurants

Rare Restaurants, the Investec and SC Lowy-backed parent company of Gaucho and M Restaurants, has announced two key appointments to its board.

Jamie Mitchell, ex-CEO of Tom Dixon, Daylesford and Innocent Drinks, (pictured) joins as Non-Executive Chairman and Gary Mann, Honest Burgers’ Co-Managing Director and former CFO of Gaucho, joins as Non-Executive Director.

The pair bring with them a wealth of experience to Rare Restaurants which formed in April when the SC Lowy and Investec entity that acquired Gaucho in October 2018, acquired M Restaurants.

Over a 25-year career, Mitchell has led the transformation and growth of some of the UK’s best known consumer brands.

Mitchell’s most recent culinary adventure was masterminding the opening of one of London’s best new restaurants, The Coal Office - the collaboration between British designer Tom Dixon and Israeli superstar Chef Assaf Granit - Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross, London. Jamie is also Chairman at Keatz.com, a family of delivery-only restaurant brands operated from ‘Cloud Kitchens’ across Europe.

CEO Martin Williams stated, “We are delighted that Jamie and Gary have joined the Rare Restaurants board; Their sector expertise and vast brand experience will undoubtably help guide the company through its next ambitious chapter.”
