A selection of UK hotels are basking in success after scooping top accolades at a London awards night.
The glamorous annual awards ceremony, hosted by RBH, recognises the best hotels, teams and individuals across its portfolio of more than 45 hotels, as well as its central support teams.
Bringing together employees from all corners of the UK, the event was held at Holiday Inn London – Brentford Lock on Friday 8 March, and saw awards presented across nine categories.
More than 40 members of staff were recognised as employees of the year, demonstrating the breadth of talent across the RBH portfolio.
Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough was the big winner on the night, picking up the ‘Market Share’ and ‘Operational Excellence’ awards thanks to consistent growth within a difficult market, outstanding guest feedback and a commitment to constant improvement.
Individual prize-winners on the night included ‘Rising Star’, Elena Monserrat of Holiday Inn London – Camden Lock, who was highlighted as a future General Manager in the making thanks to her commitment to training and development and her ‘can-do’ attitude.
And the spotlight was firmly on Tracey O’Garra of Holiday Inn Express London-Southwark as she scooped ‘General Manager of the Year’ – as well as the team at Holiday Inn Express London- Epsom Downs, which was awarded the coveted ‘Hotel of the Year’ title.
