Las Iguanas celebrates employee engagement success

Las Iguanas has once again joined the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for, storming on to the list at number 26; the top-rated casual dining restaurants with 10+ sites.

The Latin American restaurant and bar group is also celebrating achieving a Best Companies 3-star accreditation, recognising extraordinary levels of employee engagement.

Las Iguanas was awarded its high Best Companies index score from the Best Companies survey which measures how engaged people are at work and how they feel about their employer.

Mos Shamel, Managing Director, said, “We’re delighted to have been recognised in this year’s 100 Best Companies. We invest heavily in our people and are seeing the brand thrive as a result, contradicting the current trading environment. We’re excited to be opening new restaurants this year starting with Bracknell in March and our continued growth will offer even more opportunities for our team to develop and progress as well as attracting fantastic people to join us.

“Everyone has put in such an amazing effort to make this business a differentiated and exciting experience for our guests, a great place to come to work every day and somewhere to build a brilliant career. This achievement is all about celebrating that effort and our remarkable people.”

Las Iguanas make staff motivation and development a priority. A clear development ladder and modular training system, incentive champions, a huge annual award ceremony, community engagement and a programme offering the opportunity to win travel to exotic locations like Cuba, Mexico, and a trip of a lifetime to Brazil are just some of the initiatives in place to ensure motivation and a happy work place.
