Kudos wins Cheltenham Trust partnership & launches Glorious events

Kudos has been appointed as the new exclusive retail and hospitality catering partner at The Cheltenham Trust and establishes Glorious events, with a vision to become the number one choice for spectacular venues and events in Gloucestershire.

The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that is also an iconic collection of venues, encompassing five unique cultural and leisure sites scattered across Cheltenham, making up twenty versatile event spaces, each serving a special service to the community and wider public.

Cheltenham Town Hall boasts its heritage and opulence providing a stunning backdrop to any event. Pittville Pump Room exudes a regal splendour fit for weddings, parties and corporate events, whereas The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum hosts special exhibitions from around the world. Leisure at Cheltenham provides a fantastic array of award-winning indoor and outdoor facilities, with the Prince of Wales Stadium open for hire to sporting events as well as meeting room spaces for private events.

Kudos have taken over from the previous providers, recognising the individuality of each site and its unique audience and providing not only a bespoke food offering but a reinvention of identity and design. Fresh, modern, pop-up food concepts will be created using local seasonal ingredients, sprinkled with a dash of imagination and originality.

Kudos vegan coach, Rochelle Costa will be designing bespoke menus, targeting keen fitness enthusiasts that use the Leisure at Cheltenham facilities with healthy, nutritional options. The Wilson Café now has an alternating weekly offering, defining the space as a destination venue within Gloucestershire for both the local demographic and tourists alike.

Creative heads at Kudos have joined forces with the Cheltenham Trust to develop a new master brand, Glorious events, with a fresh vision and contemporary look, fully equipped and ready to cater for a wider market. Considerable investment has gone into all venues and January will see the opening of the first fully refurbished and rebranded café The Hub, based at the Leisure at Cheltenham site.

A combination of restyling the cafe as well as redesigning the menus will enable the café to better serve users of the leisure centre as well as the diverse community in and around the area. Additionally, Glorious on location has been created to deliver a unique on location catering experience to clients in their home, office, marquee or preferred venue be it office catering, a private dinner or a corporate reception.

Julie Finch, CEO of The Cheltenham Trust, said, “We recognise that the food offering across our five venues is a vital ingredient in how we create memorable experiences for our customers. We were impressed with Kudos’ vision and felt the company were the ideal commercial partner to drive forward our hospitality and catering offering and create excellent café experiences for our day-to-day business.”

Matthew Herter, Chief Executive of Kudos, said, “The team are absolutely thrilled to have begun an exciting partnership with all five unique venues that make up The Cheltenham Trust. The Trust has a huge impact, enriching the lives of residents through art, culture, sports and heritage, therefore we are grateful to be part of such a service to the community.

'Our vision is to provide a wider variety of delightful yet healthy food options for such a diverse audience, whilst maintaining our focus on provenance and sustainability. We are really excited about the new brand, Glorious events, which will be driving new marketing initiatives in line with the Trust’s core values, enhancing its presence as a key destination and versatile multi-venue space in retail as well as private and corporate events across the whole of Gloucestershire.”
