This December, bubbledogs, the gourmet hotdog and Champagne bar in Fitzrovia, is getting into the festive spirit with a gold hotdog giveaway, where visitors have the chance to win a bottle of co-founder Sandia Chang’s favourite rosé Champagne on the house.
Throughout the month, Chang is taking inspiration from the Three Wise Men and dishing out golden gifts: one hundred gourmet hotdogs will be brushed with delicate gold leaf, and given to unsuspecting guests at random. The lucky recipient of each glittering hotdog will be gifted a half bottle of Collin-Guillaume Rosé Champagne on the house to really get the Christmas party started.
The Santa’s Sausage hotdog is coming back down the chimney for another year, featuring festive favourites from the Christmas dinner table: a turkey hotdog is topped with Christmas stuffing, cranberry chutney, crispy Brussels sprouts, parsnip chips and even a pour of homemade gravy.
Alongside the golden hotdog giveaway, Chang has also created inventive new cocktails to make the most of the season: there’s Into The Wild, infused with Aylesbury duck, elderberry and pine, and a twist on a classic with an aromatic Mulled Negroni.
Post-Christmas, Bubbledogs will be bringing New Year’s Eve in with a bang, inviting party goers to take refuge from the cold, before heading off to see in the New Year. Whether diners are warming their cockles with a Sloppy Joe, or firing themselves up for the night ahead with the spicy Buffalo, Bubbledogs will be on hand with two glasses of Grower Champagne and unlimited sides to accompany the dog for £35pp.

“Christmas is my favourite time of year, not least because I get to pop open lots of Champagne,” said Chang.“Our gold leaf hotdogs are our way of spreading some festive cheer - whether people have been naughty or nice!”
Bubbledogs will be giving away golden hotdogs from 4 December until 31 December. Recipients of each golden hot dog will receive a 375ml bottle of Collin-Guillaume Rosé Champagne.
