Bubledogs joins forces with Santo Remedio for 6th birthday

On Sunday 30 September, bubbledogs, the gourmet hot dog and Champagne bar in Fitzrovia, is throwing a Mexican mash-up birthday bash to celebrate its 6th anniversary, joining forces with Santo Remedio’s Edson and Natalie Diaz-Fuentes (pictured).

Co-founder Sandia Chang has invited her taco expert friends to join her for a fiesta in the kitchen, dishing up signature hot dogs and spicy tacos to party-goers as a live mariachi band provides a brass-heavy Mexican soundtrack into the evening.

Kicking off at 2pm, every bubbledogs guest will be greeted with a semi-compulsory shot of tequila to get the party started, before taking their pick from the one-off bubbledogs Santo Remedio menu. Sandia will be serving two of her classic hot dogs, as well her own Mexican offering, a Cornish Grey Mullet Aguachile. Edson of Santo Remedio will be dishing up his Mexican twist on a hotdog, an Octopus Tikinxik Hotdog, alongside some of his signature tacos.

Other dishes including Pork Belly Torta Ahogada and the Mexican street food dish, Elotes, will round out the menu along with desserts including bubbledogs’ classic Chocolate Hotdog. To drink, Sandia has chosen a flight of three grower Champagnes and, in keeping with the fiesta vibes, she has also selected a flight of her favourite smoky mezcals.

Throughout the day, party-goers feeling particularly lucky can buy their tickets for the bubbledogs birthday raffle in aid of Action Against Hunger, featuring a line-up of stellar prizes such as a tour for four of Gusbourne Winery and an Arsenal t-shirt signed by last year’s team.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Mexican party without a piñata, and Sandia has stuffed the giant hot dog with confetti, sweets, and bubbledogs vouchers for guests to grab when it finally explodes. Those who miss out don’t need to worry - after all the fun, each diner will go home with a party bag jam-packed with treats.

Sandia said, “We’re celebrating our 6th birthday in true bubbledogs style. That means plenty of Champagne and hot dogs, and lots of partying and prizes. We’re so excited to have our friends from Santo Remedio bringing some heat to the kitchen.”
