Yoo Capital has announced plans for a £700m investment at the Olympia London Exhibition Centre, including two new hotels, a theatre, cinema, conference centre and arts venue.
Yoo Capital, which jointly owns the 130-year-old building with Deutsch Finance, have chose Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC Architecture for the design of the project.
The existing exhibition halls will be revamped, 55,000m² of offices and studios for creative businesses will be added, plus a further 6,000m² of co-working space.
The exhibition centre is currently home to more than 220 exhibitions and events each year, including the Olympia Horse Show and Stylist Live.
The building’s previous owner, Capital & Counties Properties, sold the building and related property assets last year in a £296m deal to Yoo.
