Honi Poké to open second London site

Hawaiian poke, specialist Honi Poké is to open its second site near Fenchurch Street in the City this Wednesday 7 March, with 65 covers across 2,150 sq ft.

Honi Poké founder Vladimir Martynov and Executive Chef Richard De La Cruz, formerly of Spain’s two Michelin-starred Sergi Arola and three Michelin-starred Quique Dacosta restaurants, have developed the menu to eat-in or take-away.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday-Friday, the counter service menu offers an unrivalled choice of quality ingredients. Four signature protein-filled bowls from De La Cruz come with a choice of flame-torched octopus, tuna, salmon, teriyaki chicken and tofu; paired with sushi rice, brown rice or veg slaw and a house-made, gluten-free sauce. Fresh fish is sustainably sourced and delivered to the site daily.

Alternatively, diners can customise their bowls with additional servings of protein and ingredients such as salty mango, sunomono cucumber and nori seaweed, from £7 per bowl.

For breakfast, fresh house smoothies and coffees are served from 7.30am alongside popular South American tapioca bread made with cheese and gluten-free flour; and scrambled or poached eggs on toast with cream cheese and avocado, or smoked salmon and dill.

Martynov commented, “Since opening our debut site on Soho’s Dean Street this time last year, we have developed a fantastic following and are incredibly excited to take the next step on our journey. Fenchurch is a much larger site, allowing us to trial breakfast and serve alcohol to the city crowd on our doorstep.”

The light and contemporary space features a first floor mezzanine, a counter bar and table tops made from BauBuche wood. Mint green pendant lighting and colourful neon signage reflect and complement the vibrant poké bowls.

The raw fish pacific trend from the States, has grown increasingly in demand with consumers attracted by this fast, fresh and healthy food concept.
