Refurbed Ormer Mayfair announces separate entrance for September

Following twelve months of successful trading at Ormer Mayfair, the restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin at Flemings Mayfair hotel will benefit from its own separate entrance.

From 1 September, guests will be able to access the restaurant directly from Clarges Street or via the luxury boutique property.

Ormer Mayfair, part of a £16m refurbishment of Flemings Mayfair, has exceeded all its sales forecasts, picking up numerous media accolades along the way. The new dedicated entrance reaffirms Ormer Mayfair as a destination restaurant.

In addition to the new entrance, one of the original wine cellars, dating back from 1851, has been renovated and will open as the Barrel Room. The intimate space will host private wine tastings, hosted by Ormer Mayfair’s Wine Director Andreas Rosendal, as well as a series of Silver, Gold, and Platinum event packages.

Shaun Rankin, Executive Chef, commented, “Ormer Mayfair has been incredibly successful since opening, so it’s only fitting that we give it the attention it deserves with a separate entrance. The additional investment allows us to offer our guests the very best experience, in both dining and fine wine.”

In order to concentrate on Ormer Mayfair and his Michelin-starred restaurant Ormer Jersey, Shaun Rankin has now stepped aside from his Executive Chef role at private members’ club 12 Hay Hill with immediate effect.

Flemings Mayfair is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
