Petersham Nurseries head to London with two sites

The Boglione family, which own Petersham Nurseries, is to open a site in London’s Covent Garden.

The 16,000 sq ft site will feature two restaurants, a lifestyle home and garden shop and a delicatessen with a wine cellar and florist.

Petersham Nurseries Covent Garden is to be launched in two phases, with the Potting Bench shop, delicatessen, florist and wine cellar opening in June, while the two restaurants – the Petersham and La Goccia – will be opening in September.

Lara Boglione, eldest daughter of Francesco and Gael Boglione who founded the original Petersham Nurseries, will be managing director of the operation.

It will be designed by architects Michaelis Boyd to create a design fitting of Petersham Nurseries and the Boglione family’s Italian heritage.
