Angus Agnew joins Aquavit London

Angus Agnew has been appointed Maître d' at Aquavit London, the contemporary Nordic restaurant that opened in the St James's Market redevelopment in November 2016.

Agnew joins the team at Aquavit London with over 22 years of experience working in many of London’s finest restaurants, including The Square, Sketch, The Ledbury, Franco’s, and most recently Villandry St James. During this time he has built a strong reputation for his passionate approach, exemplary guest care, and his encyclopaedic knowledge of the areas of St James’s and Mayfair.

Agnew commented, “I operate passionately with a strong focus on guests needs, and I believe I will complement the existing team at Aquavit London who have worked tirelessly to open one of the most beautiful London restaurants of recent years.”

Aquavit London has been brought to the UK by Philip Hamilton CEO of Aquavit London, and showcases the very best of Nordic cuisine and design.

The menu is overseen by Emma Bengtsson, Executive Chef of the two Michelin-starred Aquavit New York, and executed by Henrik Ritzen, Executive Chef of Aquavit London.

Taking its inspiration from New York, but with a more relaxed and informal setting, Aquavit London delivers an authentic, contemporary take on Nordic dining, serving accessible cuisine that honours fresh ingredients and Nordic-inspired dishes.
