Islington leisure & retail hub launches revolving street food offer

CBRE Global Investors has today announced that a revolving street food offer will launch today at Angel Central, the key retail and leisure destination in Islington, North London.

The first two street food operators to be taking space at Angel Central are rolled duck specialists, The Rolling Duck, and the UK’s only paleo street-food vendor, Feed Me Primal, who will be serving delicious grain-free, gluten-free food that is both simple and nutritious. The Rolling Duck will trade on12, 19 and 26 August as well as 2 September. Feed Me Primal arrives today and will be back on September 9.

Matthew Barratt of CBRE Global Investors, said, “We look forward to welcoming to Angel Central two of the best street food operators in the business. They will add further diversity and quality to Angel Central’s industry leading offer and are indicative of the sense of vibrancy we are seeking to create in the centre.

'I am confident both operators will delight and entice customers, and bring fast, delicious food to the heart of Islington. We also anticipate announcing further brands in the coming weeks.”

Gemma Callander of Feed Me Primal, added, “Angel Central is a fantastic retail and dining destination that benefits from the vibrancy, dynamism and distinctiveness of Islington. Its prime location on Upper Street, in one of the capital’s most stylish areas, makes it the perfect place for us to share our healthy, delicious and pioneering paleo street-food concept.”

The announcement follows the appointments of Queensberry Real Estate (QRE) as development manager on Angel Central in July, and BNP Paribas Real Estate and CBRE as joint leasing agents on Angel Central in February. Haskoll, the multi-award winning architects and designers that were also appointed earlier this year, will work alongside QRE.

The 150,000 sq ft Angel Central is anchored by H&M, and also includes Gap, French Connection, Monsoon and Oasis. In addition, Vue’s ten-screen cinema and the O2 Academy lead the leisure offer, which is complemented by a range of restaurants such as Wagamama and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
