UK Pizza Hut franchise up for sale for around £150m


The Pizza Hut restaurant franchise has been put on the market by its private equity owner Rutland Partners, with a possible price tag of £150m.

Rutland Partners acquired the UK franchise from US giant Yum! Brands in 2012 and, since then, Pizza Hut has embarked a £60m refurbishment programme that has helped to return it to profitability. Over half of the 280-plus sites have been refurbished

The sale does not include Pizza Hut's delvery service, which is still owned by Yum! Brands.

Pizza Hut UK restaurants has reported revenue of around £20m a year before interest and tax.
