Q Hotels to invest £50m in estate

Q Hotels are reportedly set to invest £50 million across the group's 27 UK hotels over the next two years.

The investment will cover all aspects of the hotels including bedrooms, bathrooms, furnishings and air conditioning, with £1m alone earmarked to upgrade wi-fi.

Last year QHotels expanded its portfolio to 27 hotels with the addition of six former De Vere Hotels and De Vere Luxury Lodges.

QHotels’ breakdown of bedroom revenue year to date is 39 per cent leisure, 35 per cent corporate and 26 per cent conference and events.

In 2014, QHotels sold more than 1m rooms and was host to more than 1.5m overnight guests. In the same year, QHotels reported a turnover of £132m (excluding the six De Vere properties).
