Five Guys UK announces annual turnover leap to £24m


Rapidly growing US burger chain, Five Guys has reported that its turnover for the UK division has soared to almost £24m in 2014, up from £3.6m in the previous year.

The chain opened 16 new sites during the period and is thought to be on-track to reach 40 UK sites by the end of this year.

The franchise, which is well known for its fresh, customised burgers and hand-cut fries, showed like-for-like sales in existing sites lifted 10% during 2014.

Established in 1986, Five Guys opened its first franchised location in 2003. The group has since expanded from five to over 1200 locations in North America, the UK and the Middle East.
