Development giant, British Land is seeking permission to build a new retail park near Exeter by 2017, which could create more than 200 jobs.
The development would be at the site of the current B&Q store in Sowton and it would increase the amount of retail floorspace on the site by 6,365sq m.
Next is understood to be one of the retailers interested in the site, and the new retail park would also include a cafe and restaurants.
