New concept delivers Michelin-starred meals to London homes

A new food delivery service, Supper is bringing Michelin-starred meals direct to London homes. Supper has been operating in a limited capacity in central London for several months as they fine-tune the service, but officially launches in September.

Financial trader Peter Georgiouhas is behind the concept and has already signed up 19 of London's best restaurants including Tamarind, the first Indian restaurant to get a Michelin star, and Benares in Mayfair.

Georgiouhas also hopes to have at least five other Michelin-starred restaurants involved by the autumn. London currently offers around 62 Michelin-starred restaurants.

The meals will be delivered by 20 specially-made bikes from Japan, featuring thermal-lined boxes that keep food at a constant temperature for around 35 minutes, and ensure the meal doesn't budge an inch.

Drivers will be smartly dressed in Supper-branded uniforms, and each bike will be able to deliver up to 20 covers worth of food.

Supper will also offer a wine list, plus Prosecco and Champagne options, as well as pairing recommendations for each dish.

Other top eateries involved are: M Restaurants, Barshu, Randall & Aubin, Bocconcino, Tsunami, Bashan, Matsuri, and Baiwei.
