SpaSeekers.com, the family-run and owned spa booking company, has seen the largest spike in spa bookings in 30 years.

SpaSeekers has experienced unprecedented growth in revenue from pre-Covid levels of £8m to an estimated £14m (December 2021), demonstrating a surge in the UK market’s interest in health, wellbeing and self-care, sparked by the pandemic.

The company reported that Christmas 2021 saw a 50% increase in spa gift voucher sales - in excess of £1m.

There was growth of 240% in users aged between 18-24 this year to date vs 2019.

Finally, SpaSeekers also saw over 250% increase in internet self-care searches in 2021.

This upward trend is most welcome as spa operators have been through the most challenging time during the pandemic as the reopening of facilities was delayed and companies were forced to close for nearly four months.

The UK's spa industry is the seventh largest in the world and represents 3,457 facilities and £1.8bn in revenue annually.
