Libertine Burger enters final of 2021 Street Food Championships

Libertine Burger, National Burger Award winners and perfect patty purveyors are entering the competition ring once more to battle it out in the final of the 2021 Street Food Championships.

The final will see Libertine prepare their signature dish, the Libertine #007, which won them the Blogger’s Choice Award at the 2019 National Burger Awards, as well as competing in a technical dish round and a Wings Round, sponsored by Frank’s RedHot. Also fighting for the illustrious title of the Americana cuisine round are TGI Fridays, The Mac Factory and The Flag burger.

The signature dish round will have Libertine showcase their bestselling #007 burger which comprises of their classic patty, American cheese, house chilli, chimichurri, ketchup, French’s mustard, lettuce and pickles.

At the centre of all of Libertine’s meat burgers is their signature house patty, made using freshly ground, dry-aged Aberdeenshire beef from Warwickshire’s own award-winning butchers, Aubrey Allen. A blend of 50% chuck, 20% flank and 30% brisket cuts is used to create a patty that’s juicy, tender, and delicious.

Having grown out of the burgeoning UK street food scene in 2017, Libertine started life in a decked-out Renault Master followed quickly by two restaurant openings in Leamington Spa and Rugby. With the recent unveiling of their brand-new Libertine Food Truck, the Street Food Championships is a chance for the team to return to their roots and show off their master burger skills.
