Cheltenham bistro & bar to launch additional darts concept

On Thursday, 1 July, The Fire Station bistro and bar in Cheltenham will reveal its new addition, the 180 Club.

Combining the warmth of friendship, the intensity of competition, mouth-watering food and delicious drinks, 180 Club is bringing a new social darts obsession to the bar and eaterie in St James’ Square.

Social darts supercharges the traditional game of darts with fast paced, exciting multi-player games and five oches - private booths that host up to 25 people for social, interactive darts games – have been added to The Fire Station to complement the already much-loved offering.

Arranged over two floors, The Fire Station will add three oches (the line behind which darts players stand when throwing) to the main bar area and two in the private hire space upstairs.

Once open guests will be able to enjoy games throughout the day while savouring gourmet street food, sharing platters and on Saturdays, the famous Fire Station Bottomless Brunch returns with the option of a 180 Club twist.

Fans of the hugely popular bottomless brunch will still be able to get the popular two or three courses and bottomless bubbly for two hours on Saturdays from midday to 4pm.

A 180 Club Bottomless Brunch will be extended and include two options to choose from. A Game On Bottomless Brunch costing £35 per person will include an hour of darts followed by two or three courses and bottomless bubbly for two hours and the Bullseye Bottomless Brunch will combine 90 minutes of darts with bottomless bubbly and platters to share.

A minimum of 10 people will enjoy popcorn shrimp, lamb kofta, crispy brie bites, dirty dips, buttermilk fried chicken, truffle cheese fries and loaded fries for £39 per person.

The Fire Station will offer 60 seated covers, and plenty of room for standing and mingling, eating, cocktails and fantastic nights out, including cosy upstairs booths for up to 18 guests, with its creative dishes headed up by Executive Chef, Matt Robinson.

A private hire space on the mezzanine level can also be booked, seating up to 25 with additional room for 20 people to play darts, making it perfect for corporate events or private parties.

Pete Macdonald, CEO of Mosaic Pub & Dining Company, said, “We couldn’t be happier to be bringing our insanely popular 180 Club concept to this fantastic town. We know that the people of Cheltenham are going to love it, it’s so intensely moreish, it should come with a caution.

“The Fire Station is already an amazing venue, with fantastically loyal customers and we want them to know that we’re still The Fire Station, with all the elements that they enjoy, fantastic food and drink and an incredible atmosphere, but we also know that 180 Club will add that something extra that they will love.

'We’re so looking forward to reopening our doors and welcoming everyone back, it’s set to be a pretty great summer.”

The opening of 180 Club at The Firestation, follows the success of its sister venue in Birmingham, home to six oches and responsible for many memorable moments.
