Yellow Chilli all set for full reopening on 17 May

Indian restaurant Yellow Chilli has today announced its full reopening on 17 May 2021.

The new restaurant in Wembley, which had been open for mere weeks before lockdown measures were enforced in 2020, sees Indian food legend Sanjeev Kappor step into the Executive Chef role, bringing with him decades of hospitality experience and a keen eye for Indian cuisine.

Well-known in India thanks to his on-screen success and amiable personality, Kapoor opened his first restaurant in 2001. With his own TV channel in India, over 200 cookery books under his belt, and around 80 restaurants to his name based both in his homeland and abroad, Kapoor has been instrumental in the menu development to bring a re-imagined take on Indian food to Wembley. He has also been awarded Best Chef in India.

Drawing on his extensive travels across India, the menu features dishes from the four corners of the subcontinent. Redefining Indian food, and bringing a fresh perspective to classic dishes, the menu features a plethora of small and large plates as well as sides, with vegetarians and vegans well catered for.

Diners can enjoy the likes of: Crescent Ring ‘Punjabi’ Samosa (spicy potatoes in a ring-shaped pastry, crisp baked, and served with homespun chutneys); Bhatti Ka Jheenga (prawns marinated with North Indian spices); Sham Savera (cottage cheese stuffed spinach dumplings in tomato sauce); and Mango Butter Chicken (a classic Indian dish with a fruity twist).

Prepared with age-old techniques and finesse, Kapoor’s menus are a labour of love, offering an outstanding restaurant experience that goes far beyond the traditional curry house blueprint.

Led by young restaurant entrepreneur, Krish Nagari, who noticed a lack of authentic casual dining restaurants in and around the Wembley area, Yellow Chilli provides quality food using locally, sourced produce, served in a laid-back surrounding.

Having operated a delivery service during lockdown, Yellow Chilli has already provided popular with local residents and the new opening looks set to take the London Indian restaurant landscape by storm, in one of the capital’s most vibrant and exciting boroughs.

After somewhat of a false-start last year due to the pandemic, Yellow Chilli’s timely launch is primed to take Wembley by storm.
