Two nursing homesm Daleside Nursing Home in Birkenhead and Riversdale Nursing Home in West Kirby, both owned by Kate Armstrong Shone, have been sold through Christie & Co to by an experienced local care home operator.

Both homes are profitable and well-run converted nursing and residential facilities, which have been thoroughly refurbished and extended to provide excellent care for their service users. In total, the homes were registered for 83 service users across a majority of single and single with en suite bedrooms, along with a small selection of twin rooms.

Daleside Nursing Home is located in Rock Ferry, between Bebington and Birkenhead, in a sought-after and mainly residential area. Riversdale Nursing Home sits in the affluent coastal destination of West Kirby. Both homes are close to local amenities and benefit from easy access to Liverpool, Manchester, and Southport.

Armstrong Shone decided to sell to spend more time with her family. She commented, “I'm so pleased to have finally completed on the sale of these homes, meaning I can now concentrate on spending more time with my family. Thank you to James at Christie & Co and Sheridan at Kuits for getting it over the line. I can’t recommend their services enough.”

James Knight, Business Agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “I'm absolutely delighted to announce the sale of both homes on behalf of my client, Kate. It’s been a very tricky process throughout 2020, with plenty of ups and downs along the way, however, everyone involved battled through and showed incredible resilience and persistence during what was a long transaction.

“I would like to send a special thank you to all involved for doing everything they could to get this over the line. I wish the Kate and the new buyer the very best going forwards. I must also mention the fantastic work of Sheridan Broude and her colleagues at Kuits in Manchester. Without them, we may not have got this deal completed.”
