Deliveroo has announced that it has appointed Claudia Arney as the company’s first Chair.
Arney brings a huge amount of experience to Britain’s leading food delivery company. She has worked in Executive roles primarily focused on building digital businesses including at Pearson, The Financial Times, Emap, and Goldman Sachs. She was Director of the Enterprise and Growth Unit at HM Treasury.
Arney also has extensive experience at Board level including Non-Executive Directorships at Kingfisher, Ocado Group, Derwent London, Aviva, Halfords and the Premier League. She is a Member of the Takeover Panel.
This comes at an exciting time for Deliveroo, as the company grows rapidly and continues to invest to improve its proposition for riders, restaurants and consumers.
In 2021, the company will: expand to new locations; bring new features to personalise the consumer experience; develop new tools to support restaurants; invest in innovation, for example its delivery-only Editions kitchens; and continue to support local communities, for example delivering free meals to vulnerable groups and NHS workers.
