Blacklake Lodge Residential Home, just outside Mier Heath in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, has been sold vua Christie & Co, off an asking price of £1.495m.
This former residential care home comprises 37 bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, and was registered for 37 service users. It was originally developed as a private residence and was converted to care use around 18 years ago.
t has benefitted from various extensions and improvements over the years, with the last major extension of a single storey wing, which includes 11 single bedrooms. The sale of this home comes with planning permission to add a further 10 bedrooms and some new day space.
Blacklake Lodge was previously owned by Steven Dudley, who decided to sell to concentrate on other business ventures.
The business has been purchased by Binoy Mathew, who is a Director of another care home in Stoke-on-Trent, and a group of his business partners. Mr Binoy has acquired the site as part of his local expansion plans, and aims to refurbish the home and reopen it once it has been re-registered with the CQC.
